Laserfiche Plus 5 Disc Import

Hi, we have a customer with lots of disc created with Laserfiche Plus 5, and they would like to import them into their current LF system, which is on version 9.2. They can export the data from the disc as a briefcase and import it, but there is an issue with the template and field metadata where LF is not able to detect and match an existing template in the system, resulting in lots of duplicated template and fields when importing.

 

Does anyone know of a way round this issue? Thanks.

Try merging the duplicate fields, you can do that in the admin console by selecting multiple fields, right clicking and choosing All Tasks->Merge Fields:

After merging the fields, the old fields can be deleted. Then you can reassign the templates in the desktop client until the duplicate templates can also be deleted.
