WebAccess PDF Import Flipped

asked on April 8, 2016

Hello,

I ran into an issue today where I tried to import a PDF into WebAccess, but the PDF is being Mirrored/Flipped. (It was added via Drag and Drop.)

I was able to import the PDF into the thick client, and it imported just fine.

The version of Web Access is 9.0.2.744, and the version of the Thick Client is 9.0.2.671.

I've been searching for similar known cases with this, but I was unable to find anything that relates to this issue.

If you would be able to help, or point me in the right direction, that'd be great!

This has arisen for one of our staff members today, but we are on 10.2.  This is the first time I have seen this happen.  We use the Web Client only.  I tried dragging and dropping it in myself to see if the same thing happened (to make sure it was not a secluded incident to that user) and it did the same thing.  The document shows mirrored and upside down in Laserfiche, but when you "download" it to open in Adobe, it shows correctly.  Should I first open a support case with our reseller, or do you have any information that may answer why this is happening in 10.2 still?   Thanks for your help!

This is a bug that was supposedly fixed in 9.0.2 (SCR 98071). I tried our sample pdf on WA 9.0.2.744 and it works. I think the best way to resolve this is to open a support case so we can try out your problematic pdf.
