I have a department that is having problems moving between documents.  When they change from the Field tab to the Tags tab in the metadata pane it spins and hangs up.  After 15-30 seconds it will let them apply a tag.  Once they apply it they use the Next Document icon on the toolbar to move to the next file (they have the prompt to save turned off) and it hangs for 30-60 seconds before moving to the next document.

What types of issues could I look at to solve this issue?  We have done perfmon on their computers and the server and saw no issues.  I have checked the error logs and have seen nothing.  We have done the tracing and no issue show up in the logs.

History: a workflow is started when the document is create by one person.  There can be 100-200+ documents being scanned in – resulting in 100-200+ workflows in “waiting” status.  The second person verifies the information was entered correctly and applies the Approved tag which lets it continue through the workflow.  Documents are fairly small in size ranging from 1 page to 15 pages.  They are working in Client version 9.2 and no, upgrading to 10 is not an option at this time.

I am completely out of ideas as to what to look at next.  Any help is much appreciated.  Thanks!
