Workflow Error 0458-WF0

On a brand new install of Laserfiche 10.0 on a brand-new install of 2012 R2, I received the following error when trying to configure a Workflow profile, "Connection validation failed. Error: 'Cannot connect to the Laserfiche Directory Server. [9528]'.[0458-WF0]". Both Workflow and Directory Server are on the same machine.

 

I tried it again about 20 minutes later, and it worked. The only thing I did in between those two attempts was bringing up the Directory Server web page. The Directory Server service was running the whole time. There aren't any helpful event notifications in the the Event Viewer for DS or Workflow. Has anyone else experienced this behavior? If so, did you find its source? I'm worried this is indicative of some more fundamental instability.

Were you setting up the profile with a LFDS user? Were you able to log into the repository with this user during the same time period?

Background info: when LFDS global users (ie, not Windows accounts) are used, the Laserfiche Server will forward the authentication request from the application (Workflow, in this case) to LFDS. The error indicates the Laserfiche Server was unable to contact LFDS at the time this request was made.
