One of our clients asked that having UAC off for server installs be changed to a requirement. They got a "side by side" error after upgrading from LF 9.2 to 10 when trying to attach the repository to the wf server. Repairing with UAC turnedoff (and rebooting after reducing UAC) resolved the issue. 

 

Note: On windows server 2012 you need to turn UAC off in the registry for it to take affect.

It's hard to tell what is going on without seeing the error. It could just be that a reboot was needed to update files in use. Workflow does not require UAC to be off.
