Repository cannot be unregistered because the search catalog could not be detached 9290

I first get 9237 error for 2 repositories.  I've restarted the server service but that didn't help. So I am trying to unregister it. I'm getting 9290 error shown below.

Manually unregister the repository following the resolution from KB 1011998. Once that is done, register the repository again.

I restarted the Laserfiche Service and the problem went away.

This happened again today. Restarting the Laserfiche Service did not help.

We finally realized that the LF file server VM was down.

After restarting, the server came up as usual, and I was able to log in to LF.

Needless to say, the message was misleading, but at least it told us something was wrong.
