Digital Signature in Citrix

asked on March 31, 2016

Hi, I would like to know if Laserfiche digital signature, without using a third party validation system, works in Citrix environment. According to Laserfiche Administration Guide, "Every user who will be signing documents will need a valid personal signing certificated installed on any client computer they will be signing from." I don't know how this will work with Citrix.

Hi Angela,

Using a digital signature requires a personal signing certificate on the machine you're using, so if you were accessing Laserfiche through Citrix, you'd have to have your signing certificate installed where your apps are localized. This means that for anyone using digital signatures with the same Citrix instance, they would also need their personal signing certificates installed in the same place.

This isn't recommended since users would have access to multiple signing certificates. There would need to be a separate method of validating these signatures, so you may want to test this out on your Citrix environment.
