Calling a pre-classification process "pattern match" for page processing to rename a field

asked on March 29, 2016 Show version history

Hi Team,

I know I am missing something simple, but I have been going around in circles on this one..

Basically, the customers has a 6 page document that is being split based on cover pages in the middle of it. The catch is, the first page is required to create a folder based on a customer name located on it, then page 2 is a cover page (IT) and is being split to move to a folder within the customer name and page 4 is another cover page (Service) and the document is again being split and the corresponding pages are going to the correct folder.

i.e Page 1 Contains the customer name

Page 2 - Cover page containing the words IT

Page 4 - Cover page containing the words Service

I have set it up so in Pre Classification, I OCR the whole document and then use pattern matching to find the customer name (That all works well), but the issue I am having is that I am trying to call the pattern match result in my Document Classification classes but always returning a blank.

I know like I said, I am missing a simple step, but if this can be provided, I would be very appreciative.

Ill attach a quick snip of the configuration also, if that can assist?

Regards

Ziad

Can you show how the Pattern Matching is configured and where you use the Pattern Matching result in your document classes?

As an alternate method, you may want to check out the Token Collector process, which was created for situations like this one.
