Question

Possibility to know which user has terminated a running workflow via Workflow Designer

asked on March 18, 2016

Hi all,

Suppose a running workflow on a document has been terminated via Workflow Designer, is it possible to know which LF account has terminated the workflow? I have checked in Workflow Designer and it does not show any details about who terminated the workflow? Is it possible to track this event in Audit Trail reporting?

Thanks

Kind Regards,

Sheila

Hi Sheila,

I have been able to find this information in the workflow results under the messages tab.

Terminated via workflow End activity or user:

Or by a user:

I think that is what you were looking for!

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your reply. Is it not possible to know the LF account who has terminated the workflow? Because from the screenshot, it is showing a domain account that has terminated the workflow.

What do you mean by the "LF Account"? Workflow security is based on Windows authentication, so if the workflow was terminated through the Designer, then it's always a Windows user performing the action.
