we have laserfiche version 9.1.1.548
What version of Adobe Reader do you have installed on the machine?
Ensure it is version XI or above. For troubleshooting purposes try to import the sampleXpdf file that are included within the Laserfiche Client installation path c:\program files(x86)\laserfiche\Client.
If the sample pdf display correctly in Laserfiche Client > Document Viewer> Electronic Pane , then the issue is related to the PDF in question.
In which case please contact your reseller to open a case with Laserfiche Technical Support, and please provide a copy of the pdf in question.
This is not Adobe Reader... It's Adobe Acrobat Professional 9.0
For testing purposes only , install Adobe Reader XI or above and ensure pdf files are set to be displaying using Adobe, Control Panel >Default Programs> Set your Default Program for PDF files.
i believe that 2 of the people that experienced the problem had Reader up to date one have DC... since this issued happened to at least 10-15 employees so far.
Are you sure it's not something simple like they are opening the PDF using the LF Document Viewer, but the Electronic File Pane is turned off?
As a test, have the user go to Tools > Options > View > Open With. Then, under "Open PDF files by default using:", select "The associated application". Now when they open PDF files in LF, they will open using Adobe, instead of the LF Document Viewer.
We have the same problem, intermittently. Similar problem in Internet Explorer. This error is machine specific to Adobe Pro 9 install and does not happen on other machines. I would be interested in the answer as we tend to ascribe it to a lack of Adobe support for old version.
mike everything looks fine on the User LaserFiche Settings/options and like i said before the only way to fix this issue is by either repairing Laserfiche or Adobe sometimes i have to fix both and pray that it works.
