Location of Interop.BPICLientLib.dll used for Basic Scanning

asked on March 4, 2016

When trying to open Basic Scanning I am getting an Access Denied message for accessing this library. However it is nowhere to be found on the entire hard drive. Tried re-install / repair of Laserfiche Client Suite and still can't find the library.

On another workstation I found it under the following path. Is this the correct location to place the library. How does it know it does not have access if the library doesn't exist at all?

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\mobile\145ced5d\3869b6a\assembly\dl3\452b11b8\003962ea_001bd001

C:\Windows\Assembly. Does the machine not have .Net 3.5 installed?

.net Framework 3.5 is installed. This is a 4.0 temporary file though.

No, it's not. Scanning is a .Net 3.5 application. Not sure Windows would look for it under .Net 4.

What other Laserfiche software do you have installed on the machine?

Probably the easiest way to look into this would be to log the Client installation and send the logs to Tech Support.
