Image too small to be valid, Fails to store in Repository

asked on March 3, 2016 Show version history

Greetings,

We have a quickfields session which runs via Agent every 15 minutes during business hours. It takes in documents off a network drive, reads a barcode, and then saves into the repository.

Every once in a while it will fail to store the image and leave a processing error of "Image too small to be valid." and the entry is backed out and left in the repositories recycling bin.

The document is then kept in the quick fields session where it needs to be manually addressed.

The issue is always resolved by going into the QF Session, Document Manager, selecting the document, going to the last page (which is grey/blank) and deleting the page. Then the document will store to the repository.

*Edit* I cannot recreate this on demand or by reprocessing the source file. No images are actually missing when reviewing the source file.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Carl

Hi Carl,

I spoke with development, and they suggest that you ask your reseller to open a support case.

Or you could add a blank page removal action to the QF session to remove pages below 500K in size.

When storing to Laserfiche - Take note at what page/s the error pop's up. navigate to that page and split document (This should cut problem page out of processed results) repeat this process until all problematic pages are removed. Document should store to Repo.
