Searching under a certain word

When I go to search on a certain word only about half of what's been scanned in shows up as results for that word. For example, when I search on a certain word, it only brings up years 2004-2005 and I know that the years 2006-2009 have that word in it also. Is there a way to correct this?

Are all your documents OCR'ed?  Open the document in 2009 and check the text pane to see if there is OCR'ed text (or check the column).  If a document has not been OCR'ed it will not return in a text search.
