In workflow: "no fields available"

When trying to adding a starting condition to workflows we no longer see the options for fields. The only thing that was changed with regards to metadata is that a default value was removed from a dynamic field a couple days ago. We still got the same message after adding that back in. We restarted the services but that did not resolve. What may be causing this? There is nothing in event logs indicating errors. Activites can be added that interact with field data.

You need to set a default connection profile in Tools\Options. Then it will appear in that drop-down list.

I noticed your Get metadata from: field is empty. Try populating that with your workflow user and see if that makes the difference.

Good idea but there is nothing in the dropdown. We tried changing the connection profile but there is still nothing in the dropdown.

The repository is being monitored as well.

Kind of a mystery still why this happened though. Services were not restarted before this issue occurred and nothing was changed relating to the user. just fyi for future reference
