Store document Prompt when exiting LF Scan Hangs

Hi, has anyone ever come across this situation?

 

We have a customer reported that when they finish scanning through Laserfiche Scan, when they proceed to close LF Scan and it prompts them if they want to store the scanned documents into Laserfiche, occasionally this dialog box loses focus / hangs and the user is unable to click on any of the buttons on the dialog box (Yes/No/Cancel), they are then force to close Laserfiche Scanning application through Task Manager.

 

They are currently using TWAIN driver for scanning and the LF version is 9.2.1 build 562. This seems to happen quite often but not every single time. Have tried reinstalling the Client and scanner driver but the issue still occurs. Any ideas?

What happens if they store the documents first before closing LF Scanning? Are the documents successfully stored?

Yes, if they store the documents first before closing then the documents are successfully stored. The problem is if the users forgot to store the documents first or if they do not want to stored the scanned documents for whatever reasons, they exit the scan application first and this is where the issue occurs.

Is this something that occurs on one scan station only or from any scan station? Does this occur every time they try to close LF Scanning before storing the documents or is this intermittent? Are they using a non-English language pack?

There has been one report of this happening but we are unable to recreate the issue here. What you can do is open a Support case on behalf of your customer and provide the details then we can link SCR# 137676 to the case.

They only have one scan station so it has only happened on that station so far. It does not occur every time and only intermittently. They are not using non-English language pack.

I have opened a support case on this. Many thanks for your help.

Did you solve the issue?

 

This issue occurs intermittently with some of our customers, and not only with store prompt but also when they delete some pages.
