Microsoft Word not Communicating with LF

One of our document types in our metadata is a "comments sheet", which is a Word document used for a variety of reasons. Each student has a comments sheet in their file. 80% of the time, when we try to add text to the comments sheet, the software freezes, and says "Microsoft is nor responding." Wondering if this is an error on Microsoft's part, or Laserfiche, or both. The two are clearly not communicating properly. Has anyone had a similar problem?

No problems here. Do you have any others plugins that would cause a conflict? Does this occur with any other Office apps or any other Word documents you are trying to update? Any errors in the Windows log files?

Hmmmm, it could definitely be a plug-in issue. Thank you! We don't use any other office apps within LF, so it's hard to say.

We've ran into a similar issue internally where Word would get slow to the point of unusable. Our IT guys tracked it down to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3114717
