Question

Create a Field Rule based on Number of Results in a Look Up Rule

asked on February 19, 2016

I have a drop down box (ID Entry) being populated by a look up rule.  90% of the time there will only be 1 choice in this box.  The other 10% there will be 2 or more choices.

I want to be able to hide the field if there is only 1 choice and only show it if there is two or more results that the customer would have to choose from.  Can this be done with a show/hide rule?

I am in Forms 9.2

Hi Jennifer,

I would try adding a column to your lookup, or creating a different query that returns the number of results using the same parameters. Populate a hidden field with that value, and hide the desired field if the field value is 1.
