Question

9030 error and AD

asked on February 17, 2016

Hi,

I want to know if getting AD will stop the 9030 error coming up. Does anyone have any experiences with this?

Thanks,

Hi Courtney, the 9030 error on login typically means access denied due to a licensing concern; whether the users are Windows/LDAP accounts or Laserfiche repository named users does not matter.

In the Administration Console, you can check server licensing information such as the number of available named user licenses as well as how many have been allocated.

  • If you have reached the number of available named user licenses and it is less than expected, you may need to reregister the server license from License Manager with a more correct number of named users.
  • If only certain users are experiencing a 9030 error when attempting to log in, check whether the user has indeed been assigned a named user license.
  • In the same vein as the above point, heed the caution in the error code listing: if you are logging in as a Windows account which is linked to a Laserfiche repository user, ensure that the Laserfiche user and not the Windows account is assigned a named user license.
  • If it is only happening for particular users after some period of time, they may have too many simultaneous connections.

Your reseller contact should be able to help with troubleshooting this issue or open a support case if the issue begins to appear more complex.

Hope this helps!
