My organization is currently use FUJITSU fi-6130 and fi-6130Z scanners for LF scanning. I cannot seem to get the page removal process to work correctly when the color option is set to Black & White or Color. In addition, images are scanning in completely black. Can anyone provide some guidance on these two issues? Thank you.

2 test blank pages for the client were 5010 bytes and 6329 bytes respectively. Actual test documents with usable data were typically over 33,000 bytes. Setting the page removal size to anything less than 7000 bytes removed the blank pages while still keeping the documents with usable data from being removed.
Hi Dontae,
I assume you’re trying to remove blank pages using the Page Removal option that’s based on file size rather than page number. Are the blank pages scanning in black? Are the non-blank pages also scanning in black? Have you tried increasing the default image size limit of 3000 bytes to see if eventually pages are removed? If they are, then we know that at least the Page Removal activity works, and that most likely the issue is the activity’s inability to distinguish blank from non-blank pages because the file sizes of all black pages are similar. I recommend trying scanning in grayscale to see if that processes the images better. For further suggestions, we’ll need some more info. It would also be helpful to see what your original images look like, what they look like once scanned, and your scanning configuration.

You are correct, when using the Page Removal process - I am attempting to remove any blank page where the image size is less than 3000 bytes. I have tested this process in both Basic and Standard mode and neither work. The scanning of images coming across black is an separate issue that I have resolved. Within the scanner options, I changed the invert image color option.
