I have a customer that has requested to have custom shortcuts for Laserfiche. I have created the custom shortcuts for them. The issue is that when opening the shortcut to a folder that is at the root the client takes some time to open. Is there anyway to speed this up or is this due to a network issue?

Is there a way to speed up custom shortcuts when opening?

Hi Cristobal,
When trying this in a demo environment, I noticed a brief slowdown at the login page when the desktop Client is checking the user credentials. Is this the part you're referring to?
If your customer is always connected to the internet, you might want to try creating a shortcut to the Web Access URL. This is potentially a faster method of getting to the specific folder.
Yes this is the case. The customer is passing Windows credentials to log. I can see why this would cause the client to open up slower. Do you happen to know of any settings that could potentially speed this up? I can bring up the idea for the shortcut to Web Access. Is there a tutorial on setting up the custom link to the folder similar to the client?
Linking to a folder in Web Access is simply just a URL - you don't have to make custom shortcuts. You can just copy the browser tabs URL if you are using Web Access 10, on earlier versions there's a menu item to provide you with the direct link.
As for the desktop Client, try disabling scanning for repositories by opening it up normally and right-clicking on the repository listing prior to signing in.
