Question

How can I auto populate email address for forms users.

asked on February 10, 2016 Show version history

I am working with Laserfiche Forms.  I am wanting to send emails to users via forms.  When I attempt it gets suspended.  So I found that I needed to log into each user and provide a email address for this forms user.  Or go to the attributes tab in the LF Admin console and add an attribute that specifies the email address for each named user.  We don't have forms participants.

Can I auto populate the users email address into their user attributes using AD somehow?  Or do I have to manually specify for each user?

Hi there,

If it's Windows user, it'll get from AD. If it's repository user, then it'll read from LF Admin console Forms email attribute.

Forms can't query AD...

Best is to export list from AD, if the email is also in AD then it's done, otherwise include it in the list (Excel) easiest.

After that import it in SQL & tell forms to lookup there & send.
