Question

Open Web Access document in different browser

asked on February 10, 2016

Is there any way to open a web access document in a different browser tab? A direct link to that document. A pdf downloads in a new tab, but I want the tiff to open in a new browser.

You're using Web Access 9, correct? And you want the document to open in a separate browser tab, not embedded in the index.aspx page, right?

If so, Web Access 10 actually has this exact behavior. The document viewer opens in a different browser tab:

If you only want to see the image without the rest of the UI, you can use full screen mode:

You can open a document in full screen mode through a URL too, if you're using an Iframe to view documents.

Ryan,

Yes I am using Web Access 9. So it sounds like I might need to upgrade.

Are you talking about a link from another page or application that goes to Web Access?  Or are you asking about functionality within Web Access itself?

I just want to see that document on a page by itself. Minus all the search functions and options. I am trying to create an iframe to a tiff document but it pulls the whole page up.
