FIPS Encryption with certain products?

Are all Laserfiche products able to work with a server that has been marked to use FIPS encryption? This is as of Laserfiche 9 and on?

They should work with with FIPS enabled. We aim to support FIPS setups with our software, but there have been instances where certain features broke in our  version 9 products with FIPS enabled. If that happens, make sure you have all the latest hotfixes applied, and contact support. 

 

For the 10 products, we specifically test against FIPS enabled servers as part of our release process, so there shouldn't be any issues.

For the record, Microsoft dropped the recommendation for enabling FIPS mode on servers: http://blogs.technet.com/b/secguide/archive/2014/04/07/why-we-re-not-recommending-fips-mode-anymore.aspx
