searchable PDF vs TIF for OCR projects

I have a sales rep asking about the best way to set up large import projects. I think she has the ability to setup the files as either a searchable PDF or TIF. I think a searchable PDF would work better with the OCR engine. Am I correct? Thanks everyone.

If you are referring to the Distributed Computing Cluster you will need to have TIFs generated for the PDFs before documents can be OCR'ed.

If you have PDFs that are already text-searchable then you may not need to OCR them. See this post for more info.
