Question

LF Connector over the Internet.

asked on February 1, 2016

Just wondered if you could have the LF Connector installed across the Internet (No VPN) on a PC with the client installed and utilize it to send data it scapes from a desktop application using the client's connectivity?

I am looking at a hosted LF VM without any VPN connectivity to the client site and the viability of using the Connector to pull entry info from Simply Accounting and then send it to end up in a a workflow by clicking a button.

Could you advise me on this?

Thanks,

Well, you'd need to be able to connect to the Laserfiche repository in some way, either through the desktop Client, Web Access, or (in the case of direct field manipulation or an external action) the SDK libraries.

If your scenario is that Connector would be reading from the local machine and then using a VM to actually connect to the server itself, no, that's not something it's set up to do.
