Flatbed scanner recommendations to replace a fi-6770?

asked on February 1, 2016

I have a client that wants to replace their current flatbed scanner fi-6770.  While the Fujitsu’s scan quality is fine, they’ve had problems with getting it to save scan settings when scanning into Laserfiche with Quick Fields, forcing them to edit individual images after the scan is completed.  In addition, it has more features than are needed for their purposes (top-loading auto feeder, OCR, duplexing, automatic collating & document feeding, etc.)  What they truly need is a large flatbed scanner (at least 8.5 x 14, better yet 11 x 17 – the larger the better) compatible with TWAIN & ISIS drivers that is on the certified scanner list.

Anyone like a certain scanner a lot?

Hi John,

We have trialed several scanner manufacturers over the years (Fujitsu, Kodak, Canon, Ricoh) and have found Panasonic to be the best value and build quality (best bang for your buck!).

The replacement for a flat bed would be a Panasonic KV-S7075C. We have several of them out in the field all scanning into Laserfiche with no issues.

Hope this helps! smileyyes
