To change the repository name, you unregister the repository and re register with the new name.

What Bert said. wink

Do you need to update the SQL DB's name too to match the new repository name?

Hi Bert,

Thank you for this. I wanted to know if it will be a simple switch over or if someone experienced issues doing this. I have done it, just had to update the connection profiles in workflow and any other connection profiles.

Correct, any defined connections to the repository using the old repository name will be broken and must be updated to use the new repository name.  This means that if the repository is monitored by Workflow, you will have to update both the workflow server configuration as well as the connection profiles of the existing workflows.

Good point. You'll also want to add a redirect to WF so running instances know where the repository moved. Updating the connection profile will not update running instances.
