Searching through LF App

Hi All,

 

I think I've gone mad, but how to you search using the Laserfiche app? I'm sure it used to be a search icon in the top right in LF9 but since upgrading our web access server and LF server to 10 it seems to have disappeared?

Currently I see:- (no search icon)

Version :-

 

Any ideas?

A support case had been opened. The issue is that the user in question is inheriting the search feature right via group membership and in the Mobile 10 Server, there is a bug where it doesn't properly reflect a trustee's effective feature rights.

The workaround is to explicitly assign feature rights to the trustee.

This thread will be updated when a fix is available.

This issue has now been addressed in the Update 1 of the Laserfiche Mobile Server 10. Please download the Update 1 from here.

Specifically

  • Effective feature rights are now reflected on the Laserfiche Mobile Server. (138054)

Hi Chris,

 

On iOS app, navigate to the folder you want to search in, pull down to reveal a search box and press inside the box should bring you the search pane. If not, it might be the user does not have the search right.

Hi Natalie,

 

I'm using the iOS app but there is no search box in any folder and I'm logged in as admin. Pulling down doesn't show anything either. I've tried on Iphone 5, iphone 6 plus, ipad and android app. All seeing the same behavior. Seems the search doesn't work in LF10 as it just simply isn't there any more?

 

An interesting point to note, when "test driving the app" I do see the search box. But that shows it using LF mobile version 9.2.1.299 and LF server version 9.2.1.562.

Hi Chris,

Search is available there for all Mobile apps. 

We couldn't reproduce this here with LF Mobile 10 and 9.2.1 mobile server and LF server. 

Could you double check if you can do search with same login and repo in Web Access or Client?

Hi Julia,

 

Web Access and the client work fine. It's just the mobile app. Shall I raise a support case?
