Annotations in Laserfiche

asked on January 21, 2016 Show version history

Does anyone know why when creating a stamp and applying to an invoice, it does not appear on the emailed document?  For example, we mark our invoices "Paid" before emailing them to our customer.  We can see the stamp but once it has been emailed -- the receipient cannot see the stamp.

Does it need to be sent in a certain format? PDF?

Hi Melissa,

Make sure your export options (Tools -> Options -> Export) are set to include all other annotations on exported images and you may want the convert annotations to PDF annotations if sending in that format.

A couple of items could be causing this. If you can see the stamp in the sent email file, it is in the way they are viewing PDFs on their computer. If you cannot, then it is not exporting the stamp, and that is in your settings.

I have several vendors that i have to hard code the annotations in the pdf before sending or they will not eb able to see the image.

Hey Laura,

I went and looked at it again -- after your suggestions -- and it looks like I cannot see the annotation either -- if I were to email it to myself.  What settings would need to be different? I have it set has public for annotations view.

Thank you,

Melissa

I'm having the same problem.  A Laserfiche document has a private signature stamp.  If I open the document or copy to the desktop the stamp is visible but if I email it using a workflow the stamp is not visible.  On the PC where I ran the Business Process the document setting are:

Please advise.  Thanks

The user's settings wouldn't apply to Workflow. You want to specify these in the properties of the email activity. Double-click the attachment to open the Edit Attachment dialog and then click on the "Properties" link at the bottom. Check "Apply Annotations" and select "All Annotations".
