Discussions in Client

I'm playing with Social BPM in the Empower 2016 VM. I recall at the conference, that discussions are available within Web Access. Are they also available within the desktop client itself?

Discussions rely on LFDS user interactions and as such are only avaliable in Web Access.

Do you know if there are any plans to eventually integrate them?

Hi Michael,

There are no plans to integrate discussions into the Windows Client.

Hi Justin,

 

   Well that's a shame, but thank you for your reply. Do you know if the intention is to phase out the Windows Client entirely and have everyone just use Web Access?

Hi Michael, 

Discussions is not in the Windows Client because it requires LFDS single sign-on and is an embedded web UI. The Windows Client continues to be updated to include new Laserfiche Server features.
