Updating Metadata Management Field Won't Update

I have a field called Document Type.  I am trying to add a field.  It does show up in the admin console, but when I go to a QF session I have built, it doesn't show up there.  I have closed out QF, restarted computer, to no avail.  This QF session was built some time back.  And . . within this time period, I have successfully deleted some fields, renamed some fields and added some fields.  Answer?

Hi Susan,

You can try running the Metadata Updater upon opening a session so that Quick Fields will have the most recent version of templates and fields from Laserfiche.

To configure this, go to Tools > Options > Metadata Updater and check the ‘Update Laserfiche metadata when a session is opened’ option. You’ll also want to uncheck the ‘Run only once a day per session’ option so that Quick Fields will update the metadata each time a session is opened.

Another option is to add the new field to each document class. To add a new field, select the Configure Fields option from the Action menu or the bottom of the Tasks Pane on the right. Then, click Add/Remove Fields to choose from a list of available fields.
