Question

Not able to sign in Forms 10 with Mobile 10

asked on January 20, 2016

Since upgrading to Laserfiche 10 I've been having issues logging into forms with the mobile app. I'm having this issue with our Laserfiche as well as 2 of my customers. When using the app I can log into the repository just fine but when I select the Forms server that I configured in the mobile configuration it gives the error for invalid username or password.

I have SSO enabled for Forms and Web Access and I can log into those just fine outside the app.

Has anyone seen this issue?

This issue has now been addressed in the Update 1 of the Laserfiche Mobile Server 10. Please download the Update 1 from here.

If you manually type in domain\username in the mobile app login screen and login that way, do you get the same behavior?

Yes, same result

Are the users for Forms setup as participant user licenses, Laserfiche users, or Windows Accounts?

Windows accounts

More than likely the Windows domain setting is not correct. If you try to login with the domain\username it will probably log the user in.

To check, go into Forms Configuration-> User Authentication and make sure the Windows Domain setting is correct.

It's set up for SSO so it uses the directory server

I am not familiar with the directory server options, but I would imagine there is a similar setting somewhere. I just know when we upgraded to Forms 10 that setting was wiped out and we had to reset so it would work.

Can the user login using domain\username?

Through forms the users can log in using domain\username of just username. The Directory server option is for SSO. I figure this has to be something on the mobile end.

Hello Eddie,

there are usually 2 things that will result in this issue

1) Please ensure that the "SSO" check box is checked as shown here

2) Another thing to also note, is to make sure that in the mobile configuration page,

as shown here, you have your laserfiche directory server configured, and also you have the right Organization set up.

I did not have the second part of that filled out. No matter what I've done for server name, I've been able to get the Licensing site selected but nothing populates for Organization and it's a required field to save.

Hello Eddie,

1) May I know what version your LFDS is on? Go to the top right drop down > About.

2) Also if you were to go to your LFDS server, select your licensing site, under Accounts > Organizations, what is listed there?

And if you can open a support case, we can help trouble shooting faster and provide some workaround to get things going.

Version is 10.0.0.196 and under Organizations Proven Business Systems is listed.

I'll most likely open a support case today.

Hi Eddie,

I'm wondering if the issue has resolved or if there's a case opened that we can follow up with you. Thank you.

It's not resolved yet, I have opened a case on this issue for a customer though because they have a similar issue.

Hello Rob,

Please go ahead and contact your reseller and have a support case opened.

Out of curiosity,  does the directory server section return any type of error?

It does not
