When using auto annotation ins QuickField and looking for lines such as

Extra+
(R&D) play one
Extra-

I would like to redact the word and the special characters. I can find the words and redact them fine but it will never redact the special characters no mater what i use in my search phrase. Even when i escape the characters it does not include them.

Is there a way to have Auto Annotation include them?

Hi Michael,

What you're seeing is actually expected behavior with Auto-Annotation. The reason why Auto-Annotation cannot redact special characters on an image is because it uses the text generated from OmniPage OCR/Text Extraction, or the text associated with the document to recognize the text pattern on the image. While the entire string can be redacted from the text file, only the text pattern can be redacted on the image file as the location of the special characters is not recorded.

If these strings appear in a specified location on each document, you can consider using Fixed Annotation to accomplish this task.
