Migrate document to different repository

What is the best way to move a document from one repository to another?

the template names in is the same

I would have to say the best way given if it is a small batch of documents is to create a briefcase of the documents and then import them into the other repository. This will keep all the metadata for those documents.

Is this a normal task?

If its just a one time thing, Briefcase like Cristobal said is the way to go or just copy/paste if you have both repositories open in your Laserfiche client.

Alternatively, if it happens often, build a workflow using the Replicate Entries action.
