1 domain unable to see repository list

Howdy all,

 

We have 2 repository servers sitting on Domain A. When a user from Domain B opens the Laserfiche client, when the client searches AD for a connection point, it comes back blank.

Based on my understanding (and some educated guessing), the client searches AD for CN=LaserficheServerSCP, and since LaserficheServerSCP isn't in Domain B it comes back blank.

How do I fix this? I did some searching around, but wasn't able to find what I was looking for. Addmitidly, I'm also not sure what to search for.

 

Edit: We have a 2-way trust setup between the domains.

Hi Richard,

You may need to register the repository service SPNs with each other. You can follow the steps in this Help File article (it is about a different end goal, but the method may apply in your case).

Hey James,

Our system admins are claiming this will not work since our LF servers do not exist in the 2nd domain. Does that sound right?

Hi James,

I ended up reaching out to our LF re-seller and this was the suggested fix. We haven't implemented it as I don't have rights in the 2nd forest, but will do my best to update once complete.
