Question

Mobile App rendering in Google Chrome

asked on January 8, 2016

In the Web Access 10 video Justin Pava stated that Google Chrome supported the ability to render out the Mobile Apps so that we can show the interfaces of Mobile, IOS & Android.

Is there any plugins and addins for Google Chrome to do this?

What else might be required?

Thanks,

Jeff

You only need to open Developer Tools (press F12) and in the top right corner there is a icon of a phone. Toggle that and you will see the interface to select a phone which will resize the display. You may need to refresh the browser afterwards in order to get the screen to render correctly.

That's not quite what Justin showed. You can set Chrome (and the other web browsers) to the mobile view, so you can demo Web Access adapting to different screen sizes. You cannot demo the Laserfiche Mobile app through Chrome.

As Miruna notes, the Chrome trick enables you to show Web Access as if it was being viewed through mobile or tablet devices, not the Laserfiche Mobile app.

My recommendation would be to show the Windows desktop app. if you have Windos 8.1 or 10, you can obtain the new Windows Laserfiche Mobile app from the Windows App Store, and you can run it as a local desktop application.
