Question

Forms Lookup - Force Refresh

asked on January 8, 2016

Hi All,

I've found that when using forms lookups to populate a table that after a user submits the form and it then moves to the next stage, the values that are submitted during the first stage remain, despite any changes to the actual data in the SQL DB. Is there a way for the table to be 'refreshed' so that it shows live data to the user?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi Ronald,

Do you want the first form table value be carried over to the next step?

If not, you can configure the future step form using a new table.

Hi Abby,

The first form table values don't need to be carried over to the next step. However, the way the form is set up it can be updated and reassigned to the current user. What I'd really like is a way for the table to always show live data from the DB, is there a way to force the lookup to occur whenever the form is opened?

One solution i could think of is using javascript to re populate fields by either re initializing the fields or re loading the page after certain interval.

Hi Ronald,

Did you come up with a solution for this? I've got the same challenge.

Sheldon
