Hello, Mel.
I have just spent the past two years doing what you are about to do (learning LF, creating the repository, creating the processes staff would use, training the test pilots, revising, revising and re-revising until ready to start bringing in a few small departments. We have been bringing in all the incoming mail for one year now, and are actively scanning in all our permanent Land files. You are welcome to email me with any questions. cprendergast@flagstaff.ab.ca
I found this site useful: https://www.laserfiche.com/ecmblog/?category=tech
And this: https://www.laserfiche.com/search?q=getting+started
There are also a lot of Best Practices articles and the white papers are very helpful. There are even a lot of YouTube videos that were helpful to watch.
I found the CPP courses very helpful in getting a good idea of what I could do with the software, but not as helpful when it came time to actually doing the same things in my repository. There are just too many variables between everyone's repositories and set-ups that must be completed. I'm using Workflow for many things and Quick Fields for some. I've explored the LF Forms and want to do more, but have not pushed out any actual processes to staff yet using that tool. There is so much that could be done, the opportunities are infinite!
My best source for help was my VAR, who is an awesome trainer and our County allowed a generous budget for one-on-one training with him to get me started.
It will be an interesting year for you. I have enjoyed it immensely, I hope you will too!
