Link to Administration Console Missing in LF10

asked on January 7, 2016 Show version history

A few of us in the office have noticed that the Tools > Administration Console link has gone since upgrading to LF10. Is this an oversight or an intentional change?

This is a bug that will be fixed in the first service pack. Until then you should be able to get to the admin console from the start menu.

Of course... my bad.... Server admin Console is in the install of the Client.... ding dong... Why would I think it was a part of the Server install.

I am building a new system and I do not see the Admin Consul, even from the start menu system search. Too bad I don't know the run command to launch the Admin Consul. I installed the web Admin and am using that for now. I am considering uninstalling the Laserfiche Server and re-installing from the RIO disk. The other ECMs we support have a list of commands to launch the various modules for
"non-graphic" environments (Core Servers) Is there a list of common LF executables??

Is the Admin Console actually installed? It's not part of the server installation, it's part of the Client. If you go to Programs and Features and modify the Client installation, is it listed as an installed feature?

As far as launching it without the menu, it's a Microsoft Management Console snap-in, so it can be launched either by double-clicking the .msc file located in the Client install folder or from the command line (if installed, obviously):

mmc "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Client\Admin\Laserfiche 9.2 Administration Console.msc"

It won't launch on non-graphic environments like a Windows Core Server since it's supposed to have a user interface.
