Validation for the uniqueness of Invoice number metadata field

Hi all,

I have a template 'Invoice' and it contains the Invoice Number metadata field. Is it possible to perform validation on Invoice numbers? This means that Invoice Number should be unique on LF and Invoice Number should not be duplicated.

Sheila,

The only thing I can think of here would be to run a workflow that searches the repository for the entered value across the Invoice Number field.  If it fails, you could have it go to an error queue and add a sticky note.  See my workflow mockup below:
