Question

Where are Unstored Documents in Quick Fields?

asked on December 23, 2015

I have a quick fields session (run by agent) that had some invalid metadata.  The document was never stored in the quick fields session for me to fix and store.  Now every session that runs since then keeps telling me I have Unstored Documents.  Where can I find these documents to fix them?

If you look under Tools\Options\Quick Fields\Advanced, what folder path is listed under "Save temporary documents in"?

Edit: Based on the notes in a past support case, it looks like the temporary files have been moved to the D:\ drive for you. Quick Fields would default to C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\Quick Fields\Files, but it looks like the Agent has been modified to use the D: drive. If you've never opened QF before, it would still default to C:\ for your users. Try updating it to the proper folder on D: and closing and reopening the session.

If you open the session on that machine, they should be automatically loaded and displayed under Document Revision.

No, they are not stored in the session. That was the first place I looked.  And I have looked in ProgramData/Laserfiche/Quick Fields/Files/ and there were no residual copies left here.

Are you sure you opened the session on the Quick Fields Agent machine? That's where they are stored.

Yes I was on the correct machine.  We only have 1 server that has Quick Fields and Quick Fields Agent on it.  I was logged directly onto the server when I opened the session and checked it.

Thank you.  Yes, Quick Fields defaulted the temporary storage back to the C: drive.  Once I put this back to my D: drive and opened the session again, they all showed up!

Thanks.
