Question

AUTO_CLOSE to OFF

asked on December 18, 2015

We are getting this message every second in our SQL logs, Setting database option AUTO_CLOSE to OFF for database LFAudtit_Laserfiche9.0 .  The account generating the message is the Laserfiche service account, not the SQL server account.  Does anybody know what might be the cause?

It's a performance optimization. See this article on what Auto_Close is.

The Database is set to AUTO_OFF = off.  Something is turning it on, not a database function we are running.

Hi,

Did you ever figure out what was triggering this issue? I also have AUTO_CLOSE set to OFF for the LF AuditTrail database is SQL 2014 but keep getting the message.

A query for all databases with auto_close on doessn't list the Audit Trail database.
