Question

Is there any way to enable scanner logs?

asked on December 17, 2015

Hi All,

We have a really strange problem at one of our customers sites at the moment whereby pages are randomly missing from scanned batches. I think page removal is at fault here but unless the missing page is spotted at the time of scan then it's nearly impossible to troubleshoot this a few days after (when the document batch reaches the QC stage).

What I would like to know, is it possible to write a log file with the contents of the output pane in LF Scanning? Or have any kind of logging enabled to allow me to see that this page was deleted at this time by this scanner etc. Basically just an output of what the image processing options are doing within LF scanning?

I've had a look through the options within scanning but logging doesn't seem to be an option anywhere obvious?

Note:- these options are set in LF not within the scanner driver, I appreciate if they were handled by the driver then it isn't something that LF could handle.

Cheers!

There is no extra logging besides the page count reported in the summary when scanning is complete. The contents of the output pane are not preserved when Scanning closes.
