Question

Does the Laserfiche Desktop Client have a URI Scheme I could use to link?

asked on December 15, 2015

Is there a URI Scheme for the Laserfiche Desktop Client for easy linking? For example, linking to a document with a link such as laserfiche://root_folder/my_document ?

Thanks,
Tyler

Hello, Tyler.

I think what you're looking for can be achieved by setting up the WebDAV Redirector to map the default repository to a network drive. Help with configuring that can be found in the Help Files. With this you can map, say drive Q:\\ to the repository root folder, and thus access documents as Q:\\subfolder\subsubfolder\desired-document. Of course this only works on the network; for external access you want Web Access or WebLink.

One limitation is that this can only be used for the single default repository; at present, multiple repositories cannot be mapped using WebDAV, and I do not know if such functionality is a consideration for future releases.

Hope this helps!

Hi Tyler,

Keep in mind that you can use direct URL linking to any document through Web Access.
