Question

Duplicate Object Exists. [0299-WF1]

asked on December 15, 2015

12/15/2015 8:51:09 AMRoute Entry to Folder
(MoveEntry)A duplicate object exists. Created the folder 'WINDSOR HEALTHCARE (2)' instead of 'WINDSOR HEALTHCARE'. Destination Path = \RMC TEST] [0299-WF1]

Running a simple route to entry based on a field value,  The folder does not exist at all with my DEMO repository.  It is empty.  The workflow is stating that the folder already exists and creates the second folder instead.  Anyone know what is causing this?

I included the folder before I run the workflow to show there are no duplicate folders,  also the TEST1 and TEST2 folders are empty.

So from your screenshot, the Workflow is supposed to create a folder called "WINDSOR HEALTHCARE" but it instead creates "WINDSOR HEALTHCARE (2)"? That would be expected because there is already an existing object (not necessarily a folder) with the same name.

Touche.  That makes sense.   Is there a way to have it differentiate the difference between the folders and documents within workflow to create a folder of the same name?

You can use Find Entry to check, but you can't have a folder and a document with the same name in the same folder. So if you find a doc, you'll have to rename it first before you can create the folder.
