Large document issues in weblink in IE

asked on December 14, 2015

My client is having issues with weblink inside of Internet explorer 11 for large documents. When the user opens it in weblink, it's all gray, until you click on the full size button. The page will then show up, but if you zoom into any of the pages, and then zoom out, it goes back to displaying the first page. You then have to click "Go" again on the top to reload the image of the current page you're on. Is this a known issue in IE 11? When the user tried it in chrome, the issue did not exist. Here is some browser and file information:

Example Document Info:

465.81 MB TIF
19.05 MB TXT
5706 pages

Weblink 8.0.2.545

IE Ver.11.0.9600.18097
Update Version: 11.0.25 KB3100773

Chrome Ver. 47.0.2526.80 m

Here is a video of the issue:

Hi Ricardo,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We're doing some testing now, and I'll let you know when I have updates!

Upgrading to WebLink 9 could help this issue, as it does handle larger documents better (the problem didn't replicate in WebLink 9 on IE 11 until document size reached multiple GBs). However, it likely has to do with factors like connection speed. We plan to have this fixed in the next release.
