Question

Forms - Users From Other Repositories

asked on December 10, 2015

Hello,

Currently we are using RIO with Forms 9.2.

It is my understanding that Forms only currently talks to a single repository on a server.  This is set in the Forms Configuration. We have a Forms project for which many of the users are named users on a different repository on that same server.

Are there any options to make this work without using a different server?

Can we convert these named users to Windows accounts, and add them to the primary repository?  Will that work?

Any changes related to the single repository configuration coming in Forms 10?

Thanks for your help,

Hi William,

This makes use of new functionality in Laserfiche Directory Server 10. You can read more about it in the what's new paper

If you are using Laserfiche Rio, then in version 10 you can convert those users from single repository named users to Laserfiche global directory users. These are managed on the Laserfiche Directory Server and apply to all Servers and repositories, while still only using one license allocation.

Thanks Justin,

Would this apply to Rio 9.2 when using Directory Server as well?
