Laserfiche change domain

asked on December 8, 2015

Hi there, recently we need to change our laserfiche server from current domain to a different domain. After change the domain we have two errors. Could you advise what we should do to fix those errors? FYI, error attached. When we reverse back to the old domain, the errors fixed.

When the domain was changed for the server, was LF server and WF server reconfigured? Ideally, you should unregister the repository first in the LF admin console prior to the domain change.  Then register the repository after.  The WF server should be reconfigured as well.

The Client and Web Access find the Workflow server to start business processes by name. So you would need to re-publish these workflows after updating the name of the Laserfiche Server in the connection profile (after reconfiguring Workflow as Ray mentioned above).

Thanks Raymond, Miruna, since the laserfiche was setup previously by some vendor and we are not able to get them again. Is there any documents we can follow to un-regiester repository then re-publish workflow? Also, where is the connection profile sits?

You would unregister the repository in the LF Admin console.
You can find instructions for unregistering the repository here.  Note, you have to do this while everything is working in the old domain.

The WF connection profile used by each workflow can be found and defined by opening the Workflow definition using the Workflow Designer.  Instructions can be found in the Workflow help here.  You can simply select the green arrow on top.  The profile used will appear on the right window pane.

Alternatively, if your Workflow Definitions are using a default Connection Profile, you can open a workflow in the Designer Pane.  In the workflow's Connection Profiles property box, you can modify it in the Workflow Profile Manager, Manage Connections screen.  Specifics can be found in the Workflow help here.
