Question

Stamp Names wait condition

asked on December 7, 2015 Show version history

Howdy all,

Is there a trick to getting a workflow to pass through the Stamp Names waiting condition? I have a wait condition setup to wait for "Stamp 3" however once the document is stamped with the "Stamp 3" public stamp the document does not pass. I checked w/ LF answer, and found a reply related to something like this however it was left unanswered.

Thanks again!

The connection profile I'm utilizing has full rights to the Repository. (It's a test server)

The Stamp is public.

It should be a simple "Stamps Names contains X". You can take a look in the Subscriber Trace or the instance details to see how the condition got evaluated.

I'm having the same issue here. I have a wait condition which should trigger when "Stamp name contains XXXXX" but it never seems to evaluate true.  I've tried it several times using a very basic workflow designed purely just to test this.

If I check the evaluation condition history it says "[FALSE] Document Stamp Names: [Empty] <contains> 'XXXX'"

Should it say [Empty] in the above? It suggests there are no stamps?

I'm adding a custom stamp named with the phrase I'm looking for.

On looking at this further the issue seems to be caused by the use of tokens in the stamp contents. If I create a custom stamp with static text it works, if I use tokens (i.e. "Approved by %(username) on %(datetime)") it stops working.

I've tested it a few times now and the behaviour seems consistent.

We were able to reproduce the issue when using a custom stamp with tokens, and an SCR was filed for it. Will update the thread when it is fixed.

Thanks again for bringing this up!

Hi Xiaoxiao,

Can you give us an update on this issue?  I am facing the problem.

Thank you.

This is not a bug. Stamps that contain tokens don't have names.

I am having the same issue (WF 9.2.0.167 with LFS 9.2.1.604). I get

[FALSE] Document Stamp Names:  [Empty] <contains> 'stamp'

even though a stamp has been applied. I have tried this with a custom stamp that has text (contains no tokens) and stamp that has an imported image and both always says the stamp name is empty.

Can you advise how I can create a stamp that will use satisfy this Stamp names condition?

Thanks!! :)
