Question

Distributed Computing Cluster Node limit

asked on December 5, 2015

Is there a limit to how many computers I can add to the DCC node list in version 10?  So far I am only able to add 2.

In Avante (version 10) you will get 1 node on your DCC instance - this is true for users and VARs. In Rio, the number of nodes is larger - VARs get 20 activations with each activation being 1 node. Note that this is the first release where DCC is no longer a 'preview' so you should see these changes reflected in your VAR kit demo limits once it has been updated for version 10.

Ashley,

According to you answer back in Dec 2015, I now in February 2016 cannot use DCC on more than one computer, if I have Avante 10?   If so then this is really not as "distributive" as the name implies.

Does you company plan to offer more DCC licenses for users with Avente 10?

If not how are we suppose to convert thousands of documents to OCR in LaserFiche?

I get this message when trying to add new computers.  I can't find any documentation saying the licensing changed.  So I am not sure what to buy to increase it.

Adding the Worker to the cluster failed. The cluster already contains the maximum number of nodes it is licensed for.
